At My Remarkable Self we value and strive to teach LOVE, ACCEPTANCE, DIVERSITY, TOLERANCE, COMPASSION & INCLUSION.
With your children the conversation and education starts at home and continues with your actions, the examples that you set, and the words that you use in your community and everyday life. We will continue to educate and guide our students as we believe deeply in our philosophy of personal development. As we all navigate a better path forward, let kindness guide our thoughts, words and actions as we strengthen ourselves, our families and our communities. ❤️
a bit different this year. Our plans of camps and trips are changing daily. The typical excitement and chant of “school is out” has changed to a giant parental sigh of “what now.” If there is a light in all of this, it is the resiliency and hope from our kids. Our Spring Zoom Class had girls from all over, and every time we finished that class their positivity for a better tomorrow lifted our spirits. It reminded us that they are okay and therefore we will be too. Our incredible Senior Workshops with the young women from St. Mary’s in Raleigh, NC also helped us reflect and remind us of finding the joy in journey. (THANK YOU ST. MARY’S!!)
While all of our children miss their friends, they are rising up and finding their way. They are enjoying the time spent baking, giving back to others, making frisbee golf courses in the backyard, movie nights, growing their gardens and just being. So try to take in their joy and be present with them. ☀️
